The launch of the 1st inter-IRT "FIT Additive Manufacturing Conference" will take place in Toulouse on March 23-24, 2020. This annual meeting for partnership research in additive manufacturing will bring together more than 200 academic (laboratories, universities, etc.) & industrial (principals, suppliers, mid-caps, SMEs, etc.) players from the transport sector. 15 IRT, industrial and academic speakers will give, on the basis of the results of the work of the IRTs, a vision of the state of the art and the priorities of tomorrow.
The day of March 23 will be reserved for IRTs Project Members. The conference will begin on March 24.
March 24 Program,
- Technological challenges in metal additive manufacturing for the transportation industry.
- Presentations of technical results of IRT projects carried out with their academic and industrial members.
- Presentations of the research work of the PhD students of the IRTs, in partnership with their laboratories.
- Qualification and certification routes for parts produced by additive manufacturing in the aerospace industry.
- Round table on surface treatments for parts produced by additive manufacturing.
This first edition will take place at the IRT Saint Exupéry, bât. B612 and will be organized each year by one of the IRT partners of the initiative.
ZOOM ON FIT ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
The FIT Additive Manufacturing Initiative was created in 2016. This inter-IRT initiative brings together the IRTs Jules Verne, M2P, Saint Exupéry and SystemX to optimize their activities in the field of additive manufacturing.
